How an estate cleanout works
- Walkthrough: we meet you or your representative at the home and look at every room, plus the attic, basement, garage and yard.
- Your keep list: the family takes what they want first, or marks it for us. Photos, documents and keepsakes are always set aside, never thrown out.
- Donate, recycle, haul: usable furniture and household goods go to donation where possible, metal and appliances to recycling, and the rest is hauled away.
- Broom-swept finish: the house is left empty and swept, ready for the realtor, the cleaner or the next owner.
Working with executors and realtors
If you are handling an estate from out of town, we can coordinate with a local family member, the executor or the listing agent for access. Tell us what you need and how you want to stay updated.
